Neil Gaiman is the most amazingly sincere, wonderful person I've had the privilege of meeting in a long time. I can completely see why he and Tori hit it off so fabulously. Buy American Gods, you won't be disappointed!! I got to go to one of his book signings and he talked to me for a couple of minutes even though there were still a hundred people waiting to see him...he did that for all of his fans...sound familiar? ;-)
The next day, he was a guest on TechTV's Screen Savers show. I, at some point, am supposed to be a guest on that show so the woman who is booking me (Casey is awesome!!) said I could dash up to San Francisco and be there for the taping of Neil!! So I ditched work for a couple of hours and went. Neil remembered me from the night before (swooooon) and we made a "date" for dinner the next time he's in the bay area for a review on my site, foodporn.com. And I honestly think he'll keep that date...that's just how I think he is.
So, pick up American Gods, it made it on the NY Times Best Seller list!!! YEAH NEIL!! And if you ever get a chance, go to a reading/signing of his!
